ballet
is my new workout. I had no idea ballet was so EXHAUSTING. wow. I thought I respected ballet dancers before but now, it's like @_@ now i have first hand experience to just how exhausting it is jumping up and down and everything. Going on our tiptoes and going up then down and then trying to balance myself while using my core and squeezing my glutes together. zomg. just trying to coordinate everything after pretty much tensing my WHOLE body is really, really hard. It's really fun though, some of the movements feel really awkward cuz I've never tried moving my body in those ways but it feels good afterwards! hopefully i get more flexible, and stay flexible so I can keep myself in shape.

SCHOOOOOOOL
finally buckling down and getting my school work done. my hardest class is my anatomy class and i'm pretty much on top of things. I do my hw ahead of time and i pay attention in class. Not to toot my own horn but this is like the first time i've ever done assignments on time, let alone early! haha my other classes are pretty awesome. Ballet is kicking my butt right now, more like my calves and thighs and butt. I'm not used to using MY WHOLE body, core, butt, and everything coordinated together to move my legs and body is really HARD. But, the class is really fun and i'm really getting an awesome workout. i'm a super noob but i'm flexible so some stuff isn't really that hard because I'm just not using my core, but after I do then it gets a lot easier. yay!

working out
I finally made the conscious choice to work out after school. I know I have a million excuses to NOT work out but the routine I'm in now at school and especially doing my Kinesiology major gives me more reasons TO work out. Instead of just being lazy and spending my time online doing nonsensical things, I got back to my work outs.
It felt pretty good actually, I forget about this feeling too easily. "the after work out high", endorphins I guess. Ballet is really kicking my butt and I think it's partly because I'm too heavy for my ankles. Good thing is I've stayed the same weight for about 2 months, bad thing is that weight is 203lbs, about 90 kg for metric system users. I was about 180 last June when I was still playing basketball but I rolled my ankle really bad, still kind of giving me trouble but nothing serious, and I stopped working out because I could barely stand on my own. After my ankle healed, I just got too used to the routine of not working out and so it's been a good 3 months of not regularly working out. GET BACK IN THE GRIND. feels good.

sick
This sucks, I got sick on my road trip and now my wife is super sick with the flu or something. She got over it after she sweat it out and everything but now we're quarantining ourselves from each other. This really stinks right now.

new year
new beginnings. I know I won't keep writing in this journal even though I really should but I should at least make an effort to "blog" or write here.
I'm just going to start off on a rant because I finished off 2011 with a road trip to Utah and looped down through Las Vegas, ended at Disneyland>Universal Studios and drove back home. All in all about 2000 miles of driving. My friend who I used to think was my best friend didn't really act like a friend at all. Maybe it was because of his girlfriend's influence but still, human decency should never be compromised because of someone you're in a relationship with. Road trips are tough because of all the driving but this friend and his girlfriend did NO driving at all because they had no driver's license and had the AUDACITY to say to my face "we're really tired from the road trip so blah blah blah we want to rest". DUDE, SERIOUSLY!?!?! A thousand face palms to you, sir.
The trip went well but the stupidest thing was that the girlfriend was talking about how everything was over budget. Okay, first of all they "planned" on having this trip for about 3 months and didn't book any hotels or rent any cars but they bought their plane tickets a month in advance. So it came on my shoulders to call up hotels and try to find a car literally last minute and anyone and everyone knows that last minute plans cost an arm and a leg so it was their OWN FAULT that things went "over budget" because they failed at planning. They didn't plan or make any arrangements to see their friends in Utah and because things were so rushed, me and Maine didn't tell any of our friends that we were coming because we didn't know how much time we had available because we still had places to drive to (which obviously takes up huge chunks of time).
The day we were supposed to drive to Vegas from Provo takes about 6~ hours and Vegas>LA takes 4~ hours and we planned on leaving around noon time but we obviously had to eat lunch. Charmaine arranged for her cousin to see us and I arranged for one of my old childhood friends to come eat with us. I guess they assumed that since we had seen OUR friends that they could see THEIR friend, but they didn't bother to inform us that their friend was coming down to see them until after lunch. Charmaine and I were like, okay sure, we'll wait because their friend was a 40 minute drive away. 40 minutes pass and we ask; "sooo where's your friend?" Turns out she's taking A BUS from where she lives in Logan to Provo. =.= it's a TWO HOUR DRIVE by car and she's taking a bus -____- The thing that annoyed me wasn't that she came so late so we ended up way behind schedule, it was that they didn't communicate with us what was going on because if we had known that we had to wait such a long time, we could have made other arrangements to see our OWN FRIENDS. The whole mentality just felt incredibly selfish to me, yeah, "you said you're going to pay for everything but i'm not an indentured servant." it's called being a compassionate human being who's supposed to care about their friends. I don't even want to think about it anymore because it just reminds me of my other road trip with my ex gf and her friends and how awful that was. The last thing is that when we finally came home, I cooked dinner for everyone and they ate all our food and didn't even offer to help clean or anything. Am I a maid/butler now? Just because I'm a good friend/host doesn't mean you don't need to do anything or help out.
Why are people so inconsiderate? Am I just too nice and like to do things for other people and expect them to do the same for me? It isn't that big of a deal to offer to help out, or is it? Maybe I just expect too much from people or something. I honestly don't think I am, because I know all my other real friends would never treat me or my wife in such a rude manner.
End rant.

Laser tag and "going to the store"
Work today was largely uneventful, it was busy and the one thing that stuck out was that I met a fellow BYU alumni! Well technically, I could be called alumni since I attended BYU-Hawaii but whatever. He was wearing a blue Y polo shirt and I was like "hey! You went to Provo! You must be LDS!" and we started chatting a bit and commented on the lack of Mormons working at Google. He lives in Santa Cruz but there's a shuttle from his house to Google campus -____- so awesome. I almost wish I had a full time career at Google. He can sleep for an hour for his "commute" to work and play ping pong and go work out on the company dime. I get to use most of the facilities so I can't complain too much about it.
After work I was supposed to meet up with two of my friends but they both bailed on me and one of them didn't even pick up his phone. One decided to call me back during my nap and I was too tired to even hear my phone go off so I kept sleeping.
Had pho for dinner in Milpitas at a really good and cheap pho place because we planned to go mini golfing afterwards. We were supposed to meet up with 4 other people but they decided to not eat with us but I had a great dinner so I wasn't complaining at all.
We finally arrived at Milpitas Golfland and right after we bought our games and received our clubs, it started to rain really hard. Mansur decided to not sign for his credit card before stepping away so I made an executive decision and signed the receipt for him. LOL but we hadn't even left the counter when it started raining so we asked for and got a refund. We didn't wanna stay at the arcade for any games so we(Justin, Perica, Alex, Manny and Maine) decided we wanted to try laser tag!
The new laser tag place was finally open after 4 months of them announcing their opening and it was kind of ghetto. The suits were like...lifejackets with reflectors on them and we were shooting barcode scanners at each other. The game itself was actually pretty fun, except for the fact that there were some silly sniper spots that you couldn't sneak up on and there was too many walls. The mountain view Q zar has a better layout and doesn't feel as cramped with grills and windows to shoot through.
Frozen yogurt time!! So Frais was kind of junky. I liked tutti frutti better but it had a couch and lots of open space. They closed at 11 and we all ended up "loitering" outside and just talking.
Justin busted out with a frisbee and finally ended up THROWING the disc into Maine's car so we stopped with that and started to play with some light up bouncy ball. Erica was really into it and was like squealing chasing after it and just throwing at people's nether regions. Pete tried to throw it at me but my hand was by my pocket and I didn't even move my hand yet still caught the ball. I just shook my head at him while standing there and everyone was laughing. Mansur told me to "go to the store" but I was confused at first what he was talking about, but then I started wiggling around and waving my arms in the air and freaking everyone out because they didn't know what was going on. HAHAHA YouTube the video though; I started twitching on the ground and manny finally found the video online and made everyone watch it because I was laughing too hard to respond. So much fun!! And now I'm doing laundry. Good night.
Oh ya, btw I made Charmaine and Alex get in a shopping card at FoodMax and we took a picture. Kekekeke
