van got fixed /yay

I finally went to San Francisco to get my van fixed. Back in march, on my friend's birthday, late at night as I was driving everyone home (cuz I was DD) some drunk idiot threw his taxi cab's door straight into ONCOMING TRAFFIC IE ME!! omg what an idiot. His excuse was "the cab driver told me to get out of the car so i got out". this moron thought that meant getting out onto the street. The cab's door got bent in half and hit the front side of my van right above the wheel denting it. I could still drive so I wasn't that worried about my car but the drunk dude was from out of town and being a fool. His girl friends were saying the same thing about getting out of the taxi and they were just listening to the cabbie, but Justin (the birthday boy) was talking to them about it and out of nowhere yelled "DON'T BE IGNORANT" and shut them up. My other friend, Tuan, was filming the whole thing on a little Flip thingie because the guy kept pulling his camera out and taking pictures right in our face. I got a picture of his driver's license but he wouldn't show me his insurance(Geico) but I thought I could at least file a claim. my insurance agent is such a bum, I doubt he even filed anything but I did what I was supposed to do. I even got the the cabbie's information and the cab driver's boss called me and offered to fix the dent because he had his own body shop.

I finally got around to driving up to the body shop since it's in San Francisco and the guy ordered the part and had me come back later, which was today to install the piece. Originally the body shop guy wanted me to leave the van over the weekend but I told him that that wasn't possible since I needed the van and it wasn't like I couldn't even drive the car. He took a piece of the paint off, which was already chipping, so that he could paint the van part so that it'd match the rest of the car. It was pretty funny how there was so much dirt IN the van and I never realized just how much screws and nuts and bolts were involved in just removing a panel from the van.
